What's New With Harney County Dollars for Scholars

CONGRATULATIONS to Burns High School graduate, Jacob Steinbeck, recipient of the Scholarship America Dollars for Scholars 2014 Student Volunteer Award. Jacob won a $1000 award---only 1 of 20 awarded nationwide---out of 1000 applicants. Jacob was selected based on his years in 4-H and FFA, including being a counselor at 4-H camp.  Jacob applied on the Harney County Dollars for Scholars website and was surprised with the award at graduation!  We're proud of you, Jacob, and wish you much success in your college career!

High school seniors: if you've been involved in volunteer work, please indicate it on your online application and you will be considered for this prestigious award.

We were very successful in reaching our goal of raising over $20,000 this fall.  These funds were matched by a $20,000 donation from the Olive Bridge Fund.  Thank You Harney County for yor support of local students.
